Mary Rose Shaw went into the more abundant life on Sunday, February 26, 2023, leaving a devoted family where love for her knew no bounds.

Mary was born in York County, Virginia on May 9th, 1955, to Odell and Emma Wright..

On December 22, 1973, she married Christopher Shaw.

She would also quickly moved up in the banking industry, serving as teller to Branch Operations Manager before retiring in 2018 from First Flight FCU. While she excelled in banking, her real gifting was in loving people and meeting their needs.

She also received her bachelor's degree in financial management in 2000 and was Craven City Vice Chair/Havelock Precinct Chair 2015.

She was an active member of Havelock Missionary Baptist Church in Havelock, North Carolina.

She leaves in memory her husband Chris, one daughter, Ebony Clay (Harry), two sisters, Shirley Wright Johnson and Celestine, one brother, Clarence Wright, brother-in-law and his wife, Lawrence and Helen Shah, sister-in-law, Valarie Shaw and brother-in-law, Clarence Shaw, great aunts, Cora Burrell, Rosa Lee, Aunt Mary Abney, a host of nephews/nieces, cousins, friends, and a legacy of mentorship and service.
