Albert Miller Sr.

Albert Miller Sr. was born on March 3rd, 1934, in Polk County, North Carolina to John and Carrie Miller. He transitioned from earth to glory on March 13th, 2023. Albert was a loved friend, Father, Husband, Grand-father, Great-Grandfather, and Uncle. At the age of 20, Albert left for Detroit, Michigan, to work for Chrysler but returned to North Carolina in 1955 to start his career as a brick mason. He was a dedicated husband and father who always made time for his family, even after long days of work. After retirement, Albert became a devoted member of the Wells Springs United Methodist Church, where he sang in the Men's Choir and served in the Men's Ministry. He was a faithful member of his community and always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Albert spent his final months with his daughter and granddaughter in Fuquay-Varina, NC where he continued to be a cherished member of his community. He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Peggy Baker Miller, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage. Together, they had five children.

Albert Miller Sr. was a man of integrity, hardworking and dedication to his family. His legacy will live on through the generations of his family who will continue to honor his memory and carry on his values.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories; Raymond Miller (Lynetha) of Forest City, NC, Rodney Miller of Lake Lure, NC, Patrick Miller of Asheville, NC, Sandra Miller of Fuquuay-Varina, NC and Albert Miller Jr. (Jacqueline) of Rolesville, NC, one stepson, Leon Baker, thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, Albert Miller Sr. was the last of eleven siblings and leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones, five sisters-in-law, including Dorothy Miller of Southfield, Michigan, Dianne Baker of Spindale, NC, Geraldine Miller of Forest City, NC, Ruby Jean Baker of Rutherfordton, NC and Dorris Baker of Brooklyn, New York. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love and affection.
