OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Community Chapel Church of God In Christ, 1606 W. College Ave., Opelousas, LA for Ms. Mary Theresa Brown, 58, who entered eternal rest on Friday, March 10, 2023 at her residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.

Rev. Frank L. Ford, Pastor of Community Chapel C.O.G.I.C., will be officiating the funeral service.

Ms. Brown leaves to cherish her memories: her companion, Rodrick Thomas of Opelousas, LA; two sons, Francis Montique Brown and Jeremy Garod Brown, both of Opelousas, LA; three brothers, Edward John (Loretta) Etienne, John Junius (Patricia) Etienne and Wilfred Etienne (Mary), all of Opelousas, LA; two sisters, Mary Louise Aaron and Helen Thomas (James), all of Opelousas, LA; six grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Ms. Brown is preceded in death by: her parents, John and Lillie Mae Etienne; foster parents, Sylvester and Theresa Martin; her son, Ryan D. Brown; her brother, Joseph H. “Papoose” Etienne; and her nephew, Jazman Jermaine Aaron.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 7:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Community Chapel Church of God In Christ.
