"Angels walk among us" perfectly describes Cherri. Her God-given talents were many and she cheerfully shared them daily. Cherri's hugs were the closest thing to Heaven here on earth. Her smile and the love she radiated was felt physically, emotionally, and spiritually. She left an indelible mark in the hearts of everyone whose lives she enriched. As we celebrate Cherri's transition to Glory, let us rejoice in the knowledge that we will meet again one day. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing." 2 Timothy 4:7-8 ESV Love, Lorraine and Warren Thompson

"Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee." Psalm 33:20-22. On behalf of the Chickahominy Baptist Association and the CBA Health and Wellness, we extend our deepest heartfelt condolences to Kenneth, Sheron and the family as we will continue to pray for your hearts and courage. Cherri was instrumental in stewardship service at a number of the CBA Health and Wellness Community Health Forums and Events over the years, providing healthy and nutritious menus as a Caterer. She also personally made herself available to assist in any manner, always with an endearing spirit of love for Our Heavenly Father and genuinely helping others. A true beacon of Angelic light, Cherri's presence lit up every room she entered. Fond memories of her continue to light the way leaving a legacy in our hearts. On Angel's Wings you were gracefully taken Cherri "Sweet Pea", but in our hearts you will stay.
