Obituary For Gary Wayne "Wank" Elder

Gary Wayne “Wank’ Elder, 76, passed away, Saturday, March 25, 2023, at his home. He was born on June 17, 1946, to the late Roy, Sr. and Daisy Elizabeth Clyburn Elder.

Gary was a member of Bright Light Baptist Church.

Gary was a graduate of Hillside High School. He worked for Springs Industries for many years.

Left to cherish his memories are three brothers, Franklin Elder of the home, Kenneth Elder (Dorothy) of Heath Springs, S.C. and Burke Elder (Mary) of Lancaster, S.C.; two sisters, Patricia Agnew (William) of Anderson, S.C. and Betty Yvonne Elder of Atlanta GA.; two aunts, Johnnie Mae Williams, Englewood, N.J. and Gladys Jones of Jacksonville, Fla.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Stewart Funeral Home with burial in the Bright Light Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Eddie Moore and Reverend Jerusha Gaither will conduct the funeral service.

Viewing will be 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at the funeral home.
