Mrs. Sarah Ann Flanders Blake was born on November 11, 1922 in TyTy, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Jake and Savannah King Flanders.
Sarah gave her life to Christ at an early age and joined the First African Baptist Church. She attended services until her health denied her.
Sarah was united in Holy Matrimony to the Mr. Douglas Lee Blake, Sr. on March 18, 1939. This union was blessed with four children.
Sarah Ann Flanders Blake was called home to take her Eternal Rest on March 28, 2023 at the age of 100. She was preceded in death by her husband, her daughters, Retha Blake, and Dorothy Nell B. Williams, and a son, Douglas Lee Blake, Jr.
Sarah leaves to cherish her 100 years of life five generations: a loving daughter, Betty Jean Lovett of Sylvester, Georgia; a daughter-in-law, Carol Blake of Atlanta, Georgia; sixteen grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, and three times as many great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones.
