Larry David Carter, 75, passed away, Monday, March 27th, 2023, in Nocona, TX.

Graveside services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 30th at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie, TX.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29th, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie.

Larry Carter was born June 21, 1947, in Bowie, TX to Delbert and Ruby Carter. Larry worked for the City of Bowie for 22yrs. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Nocona.

He is preceded in death by his first wife of 51 years, Carolyn Carter; his parents, Delbert Carter and Ruby Carter Sledge; stepfather, Howard Sledge; and brother, Richard Carter.

Larry is survived by his wife, Carla Carter of Nocona, TX; children, Pamela and husband Scott Pannell of Montague, David Carter and wife Rae of Wylie, TX and Lynne Garcia and husband Manuel of Shelby, MT; stepchildren, Josh Yeargin and wife Kaylee of Nocona, TX and Kristi Eldred and husband Jason of Nocona, TX; father-in-law, Carl Hodges of Red River, NM; mother-in-law, Dottie Williamson of Nocona, TX; nineteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother, Gary Carter and wife Denise of San Antonio, TX; sister-in-law, Kathy Carter of San Marcos, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home of Bowie, TX.
