Helen Hicks, 89, of Richmond, died March 26, 2023. Surviving are two daughters, Gail S. Hicks and Lorrie Y. Hicks; son, Marvin N. Hicks; three grandchildren, Marcus Hicks, Marvin L. Hicks and Tia Lucas; two great grandchildren; devoted cousin, Robnette King; other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Brookland Park Blvd., where viewing will be held Wednesday, April 5 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, April 6 at Scott's Chapel, 116 E. Mrs. Hicks was a gentle, loving caregiver for my first granddaughter, Mychal. She loved her more than words can express but, her actions said it all. She was much more than a caregiver; she was an intricate part of our family. I look forward to seeing her when Jesus comes to take us, His children, home.
