Funeral service will be 12 noon EST, Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Bethel Christian Fellowship Church, Pittsview, AL with Rev. Kortavious Key, pastor, officiating. Burial to follow in Colbert A.M.E Church, Seale, AL. Visitation is Friday, April 7, 2023 from 12-5 p.m. EST.
Mr. Toney was born December 17, 1945 in Seale, AL to the late Odessa Toney and the late Calvin Cook. He was one of two sons.
When he confessed Christ, he joined Mt. Mariah Missionary Baptist Church, Pittsview, AL. He attended services faithfully at Bethel Christian Fellowship Church with his family until his health declined. He made his mark in this world as a well renowned carpenter and brickmason.
He was preceded in death by his only brother, Calvin Lee Toney and a nephew, LaRay Davis.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted sister-in- law, Margaret Davis Toney, Hatchechubbee, AL; two nieces, Yolanda (Earnest) Dill, Hurtsboro, AL and Audrey Thigpen, Hatchechubbee, AL; three nephews, Lorenzo (Estella) Davis, Columbus, GA, Adrian (Julana) Toney, Seale, AL and YuCashua Toney, Hatchechubbee, AL; great nieces, Felicia (Jerika) Harris; Twenasses Toney, Gwenasses Toney, Jeassess Thigpen, Lenassess Thigpen, Zharihanna Davis, Aubree Toney, Aja Davis and Ava Davis; great nephews, Al'Cashua Lanier, Gregory Lanier, Kalvin Dill, Glamta Holloway, Octavious Gary, Yukwon Toney and Kambryin Toney;
Uncle Bull was also a part of the daily lives of a third generation of nieces and nephews. He will also be sorely missed by his family and his caring and loyal friends, Jackson Gaines, Tyrone Thigpen, Umbra Ashford and Emmett Tarver.
