James Willie Perkins life came to an end at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, Tennessee on Monday, April 3, 2023 at the age of 78. James was born on April 28, 1944 in Williamson County, Tennessee. to the parents of Hattie Murray and John Perkins.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Florence Perkins; daughters, Angela Burns and Shelisa Vaughn; son, James “Peanut" (Christye) Perkins; grandchildren, Kaylia (Randy) Davis, devoted granddaughter, Yuvonda (Anthony) Nelson, Javoris Burns, Toriano Vaughn, Narquita (James) Wilson, Tavion Burns, James Vaughn, Whitney Burns and Kamrey Perkins; 20 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary E. Davis and Georgia Morton; brothers, Alfred (Ruth) Perkins and Tom Henry Perkins; In-Laws, Janie Kittrell, John Henry (Lucille) Dodson and Annie Ruth Dodson; nieces, devoted nieces, Cheryl Kittrell, DeeDee Coffee and Rosella Carney, nephews, devoted nephew, Eddie "Lee Boy" Davis, cousins and friends special friends, The Sanders’ Families.

Mr. Perkins will lie in state on Monday, April 10, 2023 from 12 until 5 at Waters Funeral Home 1408 Columbia Ave. Franklin, Tennessee.

Visitation with family, Tuesday April 11, 2023 from 11:00 until 12:00 at Lynn Creek Tabernacle, 117 Fairground Street, Franklin, Tennessee with funeral to follow. Elder Richard Southall, officiating and Minister Lazerius Davis, eulogist.
