Mr. Henry Peyton Clark, 81, of Shelby, NC departed this life on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby. He was born on July 17, 1941 in Charlottesville, VA to the late Norman and Elizabeth Monroe Clark.

Henry was a retired construction worker who was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Clark and two brothers, Arthur Lee Clark and Norman Clark, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Alexis Moore Clark; children, Laurie Wells of Atlanta, GA, Bennie Jamison (Mia) of Jonesboro, TN, Ruby Clark and Ruthie Clark both of Passaic, NJ and Donna Jamison of Shelby; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Patricia Kelly of Atlanta, GA and a host of other nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 2:00 PM at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the chapel and at other times 7 Bolt Drive Shelby.
