Born in Macon to the parentage of the late Tommy Manson and Rosa D. Manson, she attended Bibb County Public Schools graduating from Central High School and received a Bachelor's Degree from Valdosta State University. She worked for Bibb County Planning and Zoning for 32 years.

Survivors include: mother, Rosa D. Manson; sisters; Rosemary (Jerry) Williams and Racquel (Jesse) Williams; other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Kidney Fund.
