Obituary For Mr. John Johnson

In loving memory of Deacon John Johnson… Deacon John Johnson was born January 15, 1947 to the late Annie Johnson and Elbert Daniels, Sr.

His spiritual journey began at an early age, when knowing he would need a Savior, he joined the Mt. Zion Baptist church of Dasher, Georgia, where he was a faithful lifetime member. He attended the Lowndes County Schools, graduating from Westside High School, class of 1966. He then enlisted in the United States Army. After serving his country, he returned to Valdosta, Georgia. He was employed at A&P Produce and Langdale Lumber Company for many years.

John was united in holy matrimony to the late Johnnie Mae Gay Johnson and was bless with two children; a daughter Brenda Sue and a son Keith Bernard. John was a warn hearted person who loved his family dearly.

John was granted eternal rest on Wednesday April 19, 2023 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, daughter and three brothers.

He leaves to cherish his memories one son Keith; two grandsons Xavier aka Ben and Alex; one granddaughter Destinee; one brother Ronnie Daniels; one uncle Luke Johnson (Frances); one goddaughter Katie McCoggle; three sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and the Mt. Zion Church family of Dasher, Georgia.

Graveside service for Mr. Johnson will be held on Sunday, April 30 at 3:00 P. M. at Dasher Cemetery with Pastor Yancey Hartman officiating. Public viewing will be held on Saturday, April 29 from 4:00 P. M. til 6:00 P. M. Due to limited seating, please bring your chair and umbrella for your comfort at the service.
