On May 7, 1967, Maggie married Jack Foy. Their union was blessed with three children, James Foy, Samuel Foy and Teressa Foy. Maggie was a member at Elam Baptist Church. Due to her failing health, she was not able to attend church but she always reverenced her love for the Lord. Her main focus in life was to make sure all of her family knew the Lord and would do His will by taking care of those who needed help. The way she lived her life was a testament to God.
Maggie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Spending time with her family meant the world to her. She lived for coordinating family gatherings, enjoying a good time with family and making sure every one was well fed. Maggie was caring and selfless. Her love for people led her to pursue a career in Nursing. She was a nurse for over 45 years. Serving those in the medical field was her calling from God and she took great pleasure in caring for her patients. After retirement, she found enjoyment in painting. She created paintings for each child, grandchild and great grandchild for them to always have as a gift from her. She also found joy in being outdoors. Maggie was particularly fond of birds, squirrels and deer watching on the farm. She loved the animals. She always viewed living in the country and being able to be around the animals, a gift from God.
Maggie was preceded in death by her parents and her dear husband.
She is survived by her children, James Foy, Samuel Foy and Teressa Foy; grandchildren, Cassidy Foy Hamlin, Augustus Waldron and Ares Thompson; great grandchildren, Warren Hamlin Badan Hamlin and Turner Hamlin. She also leaves behind countless friends and family members who will miss her dearly.
