Mr. Eugene Riley was born on October 28, 1962 in Jacksonville, Florida to the Mr. Norman Frank Sims Sr. and Mrs. Elvira Riley Sims (Deceased). He was a Brooks County resident and was educated at the Washington Street High School in Quitman, Georgia. Afterwards, he served his country as a soldier in the United States Army. Eugene accepted Christ into his life at an early age. He passed from this earthly life on April 10, 2023 at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his mother Mrs. Elvira Riley Sims and sister Michelle Ravondolyn Sims.

Eugene leaves to cherish his memories, his father Norman F. Sims, Sr.; his sons Levert Zackery (Renika), Valdosta, GA and Chad Riley, Atlanta, GA; fifteen grandchildren; sisters Tonya E. Howard (Kenny), Valdosta, GA, Janis L. Sims, Quitman, GA and brother Norman F. Sims, Jr. (Juliana) Fayetteville, NC; a host of nieces Shawntika, Raeven, Kenya, Brandi, Amber and Kristina; one nephew Kenny Howard, Jr.; his uncle James Arnold (Kyoung), Augusta, GA; his sweetheart Rhonda Bellamy, Pompano Beach, FL and a host of other cousins and relatives that he leaves behind.

Home going services for Mr. Eugene Riley, age 62, will be Saturday, April 23, 2023 at 4PM on the Stevens-McGhee Lawn with Rev. JB Miller, officiating. Visitation will be Saturday at the Stevens-McGhee chapel from 10AM-3PM.
