Obituary For Dexter Sneed

Dexter Bernard Sneed was born on Wednesday, January 21, 1970 to the late Marion Sneed and Dorothy Sneed in Augusta, GA. He entered into rest on Thursday, April 20th 2023.

Dexter was a 1988 graduate of Green-Taliaferro Comprehensive High School. After graduation he joined the United States Navy where he toured much of the world. It was in the Navy where Dexter met his bride to be, and on January 18th, 1992, Dexter was joined in holy matrimony to Piper Sneed, to ,this union four children were born. Dexter loved the lord and at an early age was baptized at White Plains Second Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Dorothy Sneed of Union Point, GA, four children: Waverly Sneed, Cohen Sneed, Tristan Sneed, and Savannah Sneed of Loganville, GA, three Sisters: Teresa Sneed, Maylon Smith, Kimberly Grier, brother Steve Brinkley, former spouse Piper Sneed and aunt Gwendolyn Smith. Services were April 27, 2023 at 12:00 noon from Watts Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tracy Lee, Officiating.

As I child, I remember when Dexter ripped my stuffed little lamb and I was inconsolable, gave me my first jalapeños pepper that brought tears to my eyes but he also held my hand while walking thru Augusta Mall.
