One day you are here and the next you are gone. Some move through this life a little quicker than others, but it is all a part of God’s plan. As a parent, you never expect to have to bury your child, but alas here we are at this juncture once again. My mother having to bury a second son. Another grandchild missing from the embrace of a loving grandmother, another child without their father, another brother without his siblings and another world without a friend.

I began my life on March 19, 1983, in Talladega, Alabama. Brenda Marizette and Leaman Swain welcomed me into this world with open arms.

My Christian journey began at Antioch Baptist Church in Wilcox County. Just as I found my way back to Talladega, I found my way back to the Lord attending church in Clay County. I completed my education in the Talladega City Schools. During my lifetime, I did various things to earn a living eventually landing employment as an inspector at Honda’s Lincoln Assembly Plant. When I was not working, you could find me tinkering with cars. You could not tell me I could not fix a car since I received my training from YouTube’s school of “I Can Do Anything with the Help of a Video.” I also enjoyed playing basketball, playing music and of course caring for my dogs. In April 2022, I made Amber Nichole Walton my wife. We really loved each other and we were very happy together until the day God called her home on April 29, 2023. Amber and my brother LeBrian were reunited on May 3, 2023. No need to worry because together we will watch over you all from on high.

Left behind to keep my legacy alive are my three children, Brentavia Marizette, Raele Marizette and Madison Marizette; two stepchildren, Rholan Walton and Jordan Walton; my mother, Brenda Portis and Leomon Swain; grandmother, Elizabeth McGowan; brother, Larry (Veronika) Marizette; three bonus siblings, April Marizette, Jermaine Marizette (Vonshel) and Princess Jones (Stanley); an uncle, Jerry Marizette; two aunts, Mary Williams and Susie Phillips; three nephews, Isaiah Marizette, Jaylon Marizette and Nas D. Marizette; two nieces, Heaven Marizette and Zanijah Marizette; special cousins, Brianna, Amir, Breenan, Cornelia, Cornelia Allen, Jared, Isis, Amari, Jordan, Ira, Jr. (Pamela), Betty, Shonnee, Donald (Niecy), O’Brien and Arthur; best friend, Ryan Perdue; and a host of other relatives and friends
