Carriel White Bryant Zeigler, 85, daughter of the late Samuel White, Sr. and Estell Johnson White, was born August 21, 1937, in Holly Hill, South Carolina. She was called from labor to reward on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at the Medical University of South Carolina Health, Orangeburg, South Carolina. She was a resident of Calhoun Convalescent Center, St. Matthews, South Carolina.

Carriel Zeigler was the sole surviving child of the late Samuel White, Sr and the late Estelle Johnson White.

Carriel was a loving, caring, protective mother to her three children. She knew that each child had to be shown love in his or her own caring way. Carriel was the aunt who everyone loved. She touched the lives of each of her nieces and nephews in a special, fun and loving way. She was also the aunt that knew how to give that tough love whenever she felt that you needed it.

Carriel grew up in the Providence Community on her parents’ farm, where she was fortunate to see and be loved by her siblings, nieces and nephews on a regular basis. She attended the public schools of Holly Hill.

At an early age, she accepted Jesus the Christ as her Lord and Savior and joined Rock Hill African Methodist Episcopal Church, Vance, South Carolina.

Carriel was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Rube Mae Bryant; son, Harry Lee Bryant; and her siblings: Calvin (Birtie) White, James (Lula Bell) White, Muriel (Edward) Prezzy, Louise (Arthur) Fairnot, Samuel (Mary) White, Laura (Wilson) Keitt, George (Rosa) White, Bertha (Robert Lee) Shuler, and Eva White.
