Obituary For Colleen Cooney

Colleen Cooney, 40, of Elizabethtown, died Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Kensington Manor in Elizabethtown.

She is survived by her husband, Craig Nokes; her father Patrick Cooney of Cross Junction, Virginia; her mother Mary Cooney of Radcliff, KY; a brother, Brandon Cooney of Washington D.C.; three step daughters, Michelle Wright, Christina Nookes and Stephanie Nookes ; eight grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers donations be made of Allegro Dance Theater, 100 North Wilson Road, Radcliff, KY

Percell and Sons Funeral Home is assisting the family with cremation services.

Colleen was a very warm and passionate person. She loved dogs, she loved dancing, and most importantly she was loved. Colleen's absence will be felt by the many lives she touched.

Colleen was a beautiful soul; full of smiles and laughter; full of passion for the arts. Dancing was her gift and truly gave her joy. I hope and pray she is dancing and smiling now, and at peace. See you soon, Colleen! Thank you for being my sister and my friend.
