Ms. Dorothy L. Wright was a proud graduate of Westside High School’s class of 1969. Shortly after graduating, she relocated to Easton, PA where she began her career at Easton Hospital as a nurse’s aide.

In the mid 1980’s, Ms. Wright returned to her hometown with her son Eric in tow. She then began her career as a childcare provider for more than 30 years. Ms. Wright was a dedicated member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church.

Preceded her in death were her parents and four brothers including M.C. Jr Robert, Jerome and Jeffrey Wright, as well as three sisters, Louise Wright, Willie Mae King and Erma Wright.

She leaves to cherish her memories her loving and devoted son, Eric M. Wright of Valdosta, GA, Her siblings Elder Mary Wright of North Brunswick, NJ, Emma Wright of Easton, PA and Alphonso Wright of Allentown, PA. Pauline Johnson (Edward), Florence Campbell (Jerry) Wayne Wright (Luci) and Gloria Wright. All of Valdosta, GA. She also leaves behind her Uncle Charles Wright (Gloria) her aunt Nadine Wright (Jim) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Cherishing Ms. Wright’s precious memories are her close friends Shelly Williams, Mattie Miller, Jackie Thomas and her goddaughter Shayla London.

Public viewing will be Friday, May 19, 2023 for 10:00 A. M. til 7:00 P. M.

Home going service will be held on Saturday, May 20 at 2:00 P. M. at St. John Baptist Church in Barretts, Georgia Rev. Usher is the pastor and will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
