Mr. Harrison Blake Hodo was born on August 28, 1969, to the late Mrs. Ruby Pearl Hodo and the late Mr. Bennie Edward Barnes, Jr. in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia. He received his early education in the public school of Fulton County.

During his early adult life, he worked at several jobs. He finally found employment as a custodian at Upson Regional Medical Center. He enjoyed his work and enjoyed working with the staff.

During his leisure time he enjoyed watching sports. He loved watching the game with his brother-in-law, Greg, spending time with family, especially his nephews, love popping cans and sitting around in the yard greeting everyone who passed by. When he was able, he would do anything he could to help a neighbor or a friend.

He was preceded in death by his parent and four brothers, Calvin Hodo, Frederick Reeves, Reginald Barnes and Walter “Sonny,” Barnes. On Tuesday, May 9, 2023, following a brief illness, the Lord called his name, and he answered the call. His spirit took flight and returned to the heavenly father.

He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Mr. Denzel Hodo of Barnesville, GA; three sisters, Ms. Glenda Green, Mrs. Marilyn (Gregory) Staten, Ms. Charlene Barnes all of Thomaston, GA; four brothers, Mr. Douglas (Gim) Hodo of Riverdale, GA, Mr. James Hodo and Mr. Jerome Green both of Thomaston, GA, Mr. John Barnes of Detroit, MI; aunts and uncles include, Mrs. Eula (Harvey) Beckham, Mr. James Hodo, Jr. and Mr. Ronnie (Ann) Hodo all of Atlanta, GA, Mrs. Gladys (Franklin) Hogg of Vernon, NJ, Mr. John (Delores) Hodo of College Park, GA and Mr. Willie Frank (Lillie Mae) Hodo of Miami, FL; sister-in-law; Mrs. Linda Barnes of Augusta, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
