CROWLEY – Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Expanding Church International in Crowley, LA for Mr. Lawrence Bernard, 77, who entered eternal rest on Friday, May 12, 2023 at his residence in Crowley, LA.

Rev. Tyrone R Davis, Pastor of Expanding Church International, will be officiating the funeral service.

Mr. Bernard’s memories are being cherished by: his wife, Thelma Bernard of Crowley, LA; five sons, Lawrence Bernard, Jr. and Carlton Francis, Jr., both of Crowley, LA, Fredrick (Zelma) Nico of Port Arthur, TX, Christopher Smith of Monroe, LA and Ronald Woods of Lafayette, LA; five daughters, Shantel Larry and Latoya Smith, both of Crowley, LA, Carlas Francis and Alvinette Moore, both of Houston, TX and Yolanda Eden of Lafayette, LA; three brothers, Micko Bernard of Washington, LA, Ernest (Donya) Bernard of Liberty, TX and Larry Bernard of Rayne, LA; four sisters, Gloria Wilson of Rayne, LA, Betty Bernard of Liberty, TX, Lilly Hardy of Eunice, LA and Margrate Goodwin of Rayne, LA; twenty-eight grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Mr. Bernard is preceded in death by: his parents, Alex and Magnolia Bernard; four brothers, Alex Bernard, Jr., Edward Bernard, Issac Bernard and John Bernard; and four sisters, Elnora Bernard, Betty Arceneaux, Shirley Tralar and Bertie White.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Expanding Church International.
