Theresa grew up in Richmond, Virginia and attended John Marshall High School, graduate of the class of 1969. She also attended VCU. Theresa worked for Richmond Public Schools for 40 years in the Head Start Program. She loved working with children and was an inspiration to many. Theresa was grounded in her faith. She was a member of Triumphant Baptist Church and Trinity Baptist Church where she enjoyed worshipping. Upon retirement, St. Paul’s Baptist Church, Richmond, Virginia became her church home. During her leisure time, she loved shopping and spending time with her family and friends. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her two children, son, Kelvin Taylor (Shalema), daughter, Britney Lambert; eight grandchildren, N'Dea Pulliam, Bryson L. Taylor, Kemaih Brown, Kaylen Brown, Kani Brown, Zaria Hicks, Loren Hicks, and Taniya Alston, sister- in- law, Diana Taylor (Major, deceased) and a host of relatives and friends. Theresa was a principled woman of integrity always in search of the truth. In her final years, she deeply contemplated her faith, and she came full circle in her beliefs and recommitted herself to Christ. She will be remembered for all the love she shared with her friends and family. She truly treasured each of them and if you knew her, you knew it. She was a beautiful person inside and out, whose smile brightened any room. When her time came, she carried herself with dignity, strength, and full of love for those who went before her.
