Beatrice Britten was born May 21, 1978, in Amityville NY, to the late David Britten and Betty Wright.
The family later moved to West Hempstead, NY (Lakeview) where she attended the Malvern Union Free School District. After the homegoing of David Britten in 1986 and Betty Wright in 1991, Beatrice was blessed by God. She became the honorary daughter to Blair and Carolyn Price with whom she resided along with her sister, Davida Britten Moore.
Beatrice was an active member of the St. John’s Baptist Church of West Hempstead, NY, while she lived with her mother and her sisters in NY. Beatrice served as an Usher, a member of the Dance Ministry and the Vacation Bible School. Beatrice was also a member of little Zion of COGIC. in Freeport, NY. Upon graduation from high school, Beatrice attended Suburban Technical School, where she excelled as a medical assistant, phlebotomy, EKG and medical billing and coding.
Beatrice worked for H&R block as a tax preparer, and various occupations that fit her work profile. Also, Beatrice worked vigorously for many families before and after school, including weekends and during school vacations.
Beatrice impact on the lives she affected along the way with her caretaking skills will be missed tremendously. Her Entrepreneur skills allowed her to establish a hair styling business which included braiding upon request, and the planning of events from bridal to outdoor engagements which she excelled at the highest level. Beatrice met Tremaine Davis and were engaged in August 2015. To this Union, one Child was born Imani Tarje Britten-Davis. During this time, they lived in High Point, NC, where Beatrice was an intricate part of her community with her caretaking abilities for families that needed her help. Beatrice was a Joy to be around and had a laugh that was contagious that you could not pass without smiling yourself when she started smiling herself. Beatrice was filled with the spirit of hospitality and that was what she loved the most. When the opportunity presented itself, Beatrice did not sway one bit to step up to lend a hand despite her own pain that she struggled with, she enjoyed seeing others happy no matter what her circumstances were.
Beatrice leaves but never forgotten to cherish her loving memory, her belated daughter whom she now shares alongside her, Imani Tarje Britten-Davis, one brother; Bernard M. Wright Jr., two sisters, Zaire Britten, Tawanna Wright; her nieces ,Princess Raven Wright, Delicia Wright, Anaiya Sarah Moore, and Danielle Wright (Taylor); nephews, Sir Dillion Wright, Sir Alex Wright, Jeremiah James Moore, Carlyle Wright, Carlton Wright; aunt, Beatrice Collins; cousin, Averill Collins, Great Nieces; Leilani Wright, Asajahnique Collins, great nephews; Harold Wright, Christian Wright, Lameir Wright, Michael Peterkin Jr,, her honorary Family, Deacon Blair and Deaconess Carolyn Price, and aunt Wyatee Hill and the St. Johns Baptist Family; best friend; Ms. Charlyne Fair, god children, Angelica Fair, Londyn Farrow, Mya Sanders; along with a host of cousins, more aunties and uncles, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held, June 17, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Johns Baptist Church, 632 Chautauqua Ave, West Hempstead, NY.
