Obituary For Roy Lee Harris

Mr. Roy Lee Harris was born on June 14, 1966, to the late Leroy Harris Sr and Lucy Harris Davis in Madison Georgia. Roy was affectionately known as " Ray Harris" by everyone that knew and loved him.

On Wednesday May 10, 2023, Ray transitioned to his heavenly home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the age of 56. Ray was the baby boy of his siblings.

At an early age, Ray enjoyed attending Greater Moses Baptist Church. Later in life he moved to California. Ray attended Morgan County School System where he received his education, graduating Class of 1985.

Standing 6'6" tall, Ray enjoyed playing basketball and running track along with other school activities. Ray true passion was driving 18 wheelers. He had a natural gift for driving and his dream came true when he became self-employed. Ray had a wonderful sense of humor and was very entertaining. He had a loving heart and never met a stranger. Ray was truly loved by his family and also his friends.

Our beloved Ray is back with his parents along with 4 other siblings: Ernest Davis, Annie Beulah Williams, Daisy Bell Andrews, and Leroy Harris Jr.

Ray leaves to cherish his memories: his beautiful daughter, Chelsea Stefani; Four Sisters: Annie Ruth (Beve) Parks, Lucy Bell Harris, Sylvia Yvette Harris and Cheryl (David) Mathis; Three brothers: Larry L. Harris, Anthony Benford and Antonio Benford; One Aunt: Carrie Harris; God Nephew: Jarvis D. Peters, a Host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends along with extended Family: The Taylors.


Home Going service will be held Saturday May 27, 2023 from the Union Springs Baptist Church 1311-1380 W Main St, Rutledge, GA 30663 at 1pm, With Pastor Robert Terrell, Jr. Eulogist.

Ray, welcome home. I'm deeply sorry that I only just found out. I wish I could have been there to say goodbye to your flesh. I know your spirit is with us all. I'm incredibly thankful for your calls; I always looked forward to them. This is truly shocking. You were amazing, and I appreciate everything you did for my mom, me, my granny, and all of us.
