Obituary For Mrs. Adrienne Kirk-Richardson

The precious life of our beloved Adrienne Kirk-Richardson was called to an end peacefully on the morning of May 16, 2023, in her home. She was born June 19, 1960, to the late Claude E. Kirk and the late Roseanna Waddell in New York, New York.

She was raised in Harlem, New York, and graduated from St. Gabriel's High School in New Rochelle, New York in 1978. Adrienne met the love of her life Douglas Richardson at an early age and the two were united in Holy Matrimony on July 23, 1983.

After 30 years of service as a flight attendant, Adrienne retired from American Airlines in 2017. She loved to travel the world and would help anyone to have the same experiences she had. She graciously accepted Christ in her life at an early age. Adrienne loved the Lord and served Him with all she had. She showed love and compassion to others and would minister to anyone about the goodness of the Lord. Adrienne dedicated her time to helping others and devoted countless hours to her community through Parables Community Theatre of which she was a founding member. Her love for youth and arts continued as she served on the youth dance ministry at Ebenezer Baptist Church, where she was an active member.

Adrienne is survived by her loving husband Douglas Richardson, her siblings, Patrina "Tysehynesh" Chapman (Mowando), Shelia Baptista (John), Anita "Claudette" Goode (Franco), Keith Kirk, and Stephanie Kirk-Lofton, Kisha Davis (Larry), aunt Marion Huntley, mother-in-law, Doris Rushing, father-in-law, James Gramling, brothers-in-law, Danny Wilson (Debra), and Timothy Grambling (Bernadette), sisters-in-law, Denise Leake (Monroe), Teresa Wilson (Dwight), Joanne Groce (Darryl), and Stephanie Ogbuike (Uchenna), a host of nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 1:00PM at Ebenzer Baptist Church, 2700 W Vandalia Rd, Greensboro, NC. Visitations will start 1hour prior to the service at the church.

Woodard Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
