Mr. William Wall Jr. son of the late Mr. William Wall and Mrs. Elizabeth Bennett Wall was born in Anson County, NC on September 25, 1947. He entered his Heavenly Home on Monday, May 22, 2023 at Atrium Health-Union, Monroe, North Carolina.
He confessed Christ at an early age and joined Bessie Chapel AME Zion Church, Lilesville, North Carolina. Later, he joined the Gatewood Station AME Zion Church, Morven, North Carolina where he remained a faithful member until his health declined. He served on the Board of Stewards.
He attended the public schools of Anson County and was a 1966 graduate of Henry Grove School.
He was employed by Alcoa Badin Works for over 30 years. After retirement, he worked as a Bus Driver for Anson County Schools. He served as a Master Boy Scout Leader and was a member of the Masons.
He leaves to cherish his loving and devoted wife of 50 years, Linda Bennett Wall of the home.
To their union was born one son, Patrick Lamont Wall (Lisa Delgado) of Charlotte, North Carolina. He also leaves to cherish his memory, two adopted sons, Richard Wall of High Point, North Carolina and Antonio S. Wall. An adopted son, Randy Wall preceded him in death. One grandson, Jaxson Reid.
One sister, Alice Medley of Lilesville, North Carolina; three brothers, Kenneth Wall (Josephine) James Wall (Gloria) and Cordora Rivers all of Lilesville, North Carolina; one uncle, Levander Bennett of Lilesville, North Carolina; one aunt, Annie Mae Bennett of High Point, North Carolina. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
William NEVER met a stranger. If he talked to you long enough, you would find yourself known as one of his many cousins.
The Homegoing Services for Mr. Wall will be on Saturday, May 27, 2023, 1:00pm, Smith Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment will be at Gatewood Station AME Zion Church Cemetery, Morven, North Carolina.
The Wall Family will greet family and friends on Saturday, May 27, 2023 from 12:30-1:00pm at Smith Memorial Chapel.
The public viewing for Mr. Wall will be on Friday, May 26, 2023 from 3:30-5:30pm at Smith Memorial Chapel.
