Obituary For Minister James Thomas Campbell

Minister James Thomas Campbell known to everyone as “Pig” was born August 6, 1952 in Anson County, NC to the late Randolph Campbell Sr. and the late Ethel Frances Campbell. He was called to rest on May 23, 2023 at his residence.

He was a faithful member of Leading You To Christ Independent Church, Polkton, NC.

“Pig” was preceded in death by his wife, Ophelia McBride Campbell and two sons, Odell Campbell, and Harvey Campbell.

“Pig” leaves to cherish his loving memory, two daughters, Easter Campbell of Lexington, NC and Angela Campbell of High Point, NC; three sons, James Campbell of High Point, NC, Phillip Campbell (Lisa) of Thomasville, NC and Timothy Williams of Wadesboro, NC; thirty-five grandchildren and one great grand child.

Two sisters, Joann Campbell Polk of the home and Barbara Jean Young White (Albert) of Augusta, Georgia; one brother, Elder Randolph Campbell of Wadesboro, NC; one sister-in-law, Yvonne Harris (Curtis) of Lilesville, NC; three brothers-in-law; Sheron McBride (Joyce) of High Point, NC, Weldon McBride of High Point, NC and Roger Green of Greensboro, NC and Odell McBride of Thomasville, NC.

Three uncles, Cleveland Cash (Mary Flossie), George Campbell and Joe Campbell (Queen) all of Wadesboro, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Homegoing Services will be on Friday, June 2, 2023, 1:00pm, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment will be in the family plot of Williams Cemetery, Polkton, North Carolina.

The Campbell Family will greet family and friends on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 12:30-1:00pm.

The public viewing will be on Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 3:30-5:30 at Smith's Funeral Home.
