Mr. James Howard Caple

Mr. James H. Caple was known to his family and friends as “Tee Baby”, “Calhoun”, or “Cut Buddy”, was the son of the late Marshall E. & Emma Ree Caple. He entered this life on March 8, 1955, in Anson County and departed this life on May 24, 2023, at Monroe Health & Rehabilitation in Monroe, NC.

James H. Caple attended the Anson County School system with the graduating class of 1974. After completing school, he then started seeking employment where he landed a job working for Wansona Manufacturing located in Wadesboro, NC. During that time, he accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church. James Caple then realized his life was still missing something, he knew that he wanted to start creating a legacy for himself, so he married his high school sweetheart and started a family.

He was joined in holy matrimony to Alberta Smith Caple. To this union 2 children were born: 1 daughter and 1 son, Tiesha C. Streater (Kenyatta Montez) of Indian Trail, NC and James H. Caple Jr. who preceded him in death. Also, 2 loving pets Tiger & Turbo.

Tee was a soft-spoken loving individual with a big heart who loved his entire family. His affectious spirit will never be forgotten, and he will surely be missed.

He also leaves to cherish his memories: 7 sisters: Mary Eve Caple of the home; Doletha Powell (Risden) of Wadesboro, NC; Anna Taylor (Ritchie-Deceased) of Wadesboro, NC; Fannie Ree Caple of Wadesboro, NC; Ruby Lee Caple of Wadesboro, NC; Mary Ellen Sturdivant (Bruce) of Morven, NC; and Shirley Quick (Charles) of Bennettsville, SC. 4 brothers: Joseph Caple (Mary) of Cottonville, NC; Marshall Caple (Tremenda) of Ansonville, NC; William Caple of Wadesboro, NC; and Roger Lee Caple of Wadesboro, NC. One Aunt, Eva Mae Gilbert of Wadesboro, NC; one Uncle, Otis Kirby (Lizzie) of High Point, NC. A host of nieces, nephews, and relatives. 3 special friends since childhood: June Byrd, Von Buchanan, and John Martin. In addition to his family, he also leaves to cherish his memories with his 13 sisters-in-law and 11 brothers-in-law of his wife.

In addition to his parents and son, Tee was also preceded in death by: his niece, Tremenda Martisha Caple; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gene Marshall Smith and Louise Spencer Smith; uncles: Will Caple, EC Caple, Cleveland Kirby, Robert Williams, Herschel Gilbert, Harvey Robinson, Nello Little, Paul Armstrong, Leroy Dunlap, Alexander Ingram and Alexander Caple; aunts: Laura K. Robinson, Lucille Dockery, Lizzie Armstrong, Annie Bell Ingram, Annie Jane Dunlap, Ressie Leak Little and Leomi Caple.

The Homegoing Services will be on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, 12:00pm, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment will be in the family plot of the Morning Star Redeem Church of God Cemetery, Lilesville, North Carolina.

The Caple Family will greet family and friends from 11:30am-12:00pm at Smith's Memorial Chapel.
