Mrs. Erikca Fleming

Erikca Michelle Fleming, 50, affectionately known as “Mookie,” passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. She was born in High Point, N.C., on March 26, 1973, to Theleshia Dye and the late Johnny McCall

She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Willie Marshall and Trevolia Marshall; brother, John McCall, Jr., and a cousin, Margie “Shell” Marshall.

Erikca graduated from Salem High School in New Jersey; she pursued further education in Nursing at UNCG and received an Associate Degree in Accounting at Guilford Technical Community College. She was formerly employed in the Accounting Department at Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Erikca never met a stranger; she had a cheerful and encouraging personality with a smile that lit up the room. During her leisure, she enjoyed cooking, watching movies, and participating in game nights with her family. Though her physical presence will no longer be with us, we thank God for the precious memories of love, joy, and peace to cherish forever.

Erikca leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Truman Fleming, Sr.; two sons, Truman “TJ” Fleming, Jr., and Trumaine “Bucky” Fleming; two daughters, Latiesha Lipsey and Shakayla Samuel; mother, Theleshia Dye; stepfather, James “Shine” Thomas; brothers, Johnny Marshall, David “Heffy” Marshall, Patrick McCall and Marcus McCall; grandchildren, Ivery Fleming, Uzziah Murray, Zavion “Fat” Lipsey, Avenon Lipsey, Tori Murphy, Kyra Dow, Kyren Samuel, Jorden Samuel, and Duwen and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and close friends.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Solid Rock Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
