My cousin Ann. We didn't see each other often but when we did, we would share laughter of things we remembered during our youth. I grew up in Taylortown (Pinehurst) east of Troy, but Sundays were family visit days back then. Ann Lived in Taylortown for a while when she was teaching school close by, and all my friends would talk about my beautiful cousin. I would think, "I'm the luckiest guy alive." Rest In Pease My Beautiful Cousin. Richard Harold Highland

A woman has lived well whose memory is met with a smile, whose laughter is recalled like the lyrics of a favorite song or the warmth of an embrace, whose family recalls her legacy with a sense of pride, whose friends are better for having known her, and whose community is a better place because she was there. A woman has lived well whose death is not a benediction, but is rather a call to worship. Cousin Ann, we are blessed that you came this way!

My Cousin Ann made made so many unforgettable memories of my childhood growing up in Troy. She gave my sister and I the pleasure of her vivacious personality, introduced us to great music, and danced with us for hours on her sun porch. She was pure joy with a contagious smile and laughter. Her love of education and children continued throughout her adult years as an educator and Montgomery County School Board member. My deepest and heartfelt condolences to Chuckie and Nathan and those touched by Ann's enduring love of life. Rest in Peace, Cousin, "May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest."
