Mr. Charles Jackson, 74, of Phenix City, AL passed Saturday, June 3, 2023 in Columbus, GA.

Funeral service will be 4:30 p.m. EST Saturday, June 10, 2023 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Marshall Morgan, Sr. officiating. Burial to follow in Alexander Abercrombie Cemetery, Phenix City, AL. Visitation is Friday, June 9, 2023 from 1-5 p.m. EST.

Mr. Charles Jackson was born to the late Peter Jackson, Sr. and the late Eddie Bell Jackson. He was called home to his resting place June 3, 2023. He joined the Uchee Hill Missionary Baptist Church at an early age.

Mr. Jackson was a truck driver with the Leshner Mill for 33 years. He later was employed with the Russell County Highway division as a truck driver until his health began to fail.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Rufus Jackson.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted wife and caregiver, Dorothy Ann Jackson; two sons, Cliffton Jackson and Christopher Thomas; two daughters, Ditisha Thomas and Dytoya Jackson; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; three brothers, Peter, Jr. (Susie) Jackson, Jerry Jackson and Curtis Jackson; four sisters, Rita Jackson, Elaine (Robert) Hatchett, Marquita (Calvin) Jackson and Shaundra (Torrance) Goodwin; three aunts, Bobbie L. Jackson, Myrtis Span and Marion (Ted) Davis; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in law; a host of cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
