Curtis Walker

Curtis Walker was born on February 20, 1949 to the late Clarence Walker, Sr. and Thelma Moore Walker. He departed this life on June 7, 2023.

Curtis joined New Battery Baptist Church of Crawfordville, Georgia at an early age and served faithfully. His favorite pas-time was fishing and he was known for his great sense of humor which he inherited from his father.

He received his early education at Taliaferro County School System of Crawfordville, Georgia. He attended Murden High School. He spent most of his life working as an independent Logger until retirement.

Earlier in life he married Miriam Wright of Greensboro, Georgia and to that union was born a son Derrick Walker.

Curtis leaves to cherish his memories two children: Derrick Walker (Takeisha) of Greensboro, Georgia and Siamone Champion Hill (Tony) of White Plains, Georgia. He further leaves to cherish and carry on his legacy of loving and giving five grandchildren: Derrick Walker, Jr., Adarius Walker, Christian Hill, Lydia Hill and Logan Hill and a host of nieces, nephews cousins, extended relatives and friends.

He also leaves behind five siblings: Lee Walker of Washington, Georgia, Melissa Rudison of Stone Mountain, Georgia; three step-siblings: Clinton Rudison (Vercilla) of Decatur, Georgia, Mildred Faust-Scott (Terry of Atlanta, Georgia, Marion Rudison (Late Sheryl Epps) of Crawfordville, Georgia. He leaves a very special devoted friend Essie Harper and two special cousins: Lester and Lindsey Jones.

Eight siblings preceded him in death: Billy, Sylvia, Clarence, Jr., Julius (Red), Diane, Nathaniel, Rick Walker and Jeff Rudison; step siblings: Barbara J. Blackmon, Willie A Rudison and Tony Rudison.


Services: 2:00 P. M., Saturday, June 17, 2023 from The Chapel at Watts Funeral Home, Union Point, Georgia, with Minister Jacqueline D. Talmadge, Eulogist.
