Ms. Norma Jean Clarke age 69, of Claremont, North Carolina transitioned peacefully on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at Catawba Valley Medical Center, Hickory, North Carolina. She was born in Catawba County, North Carolina on February 2, 1954 to the late Harry Lee Clarke and Alma Viola Thompson Clarke.

Our beloved graduated from Bandys High School, class of 1972. She was a retired knitter.

She leaves fond and loving memories in the hearts of her children, Preston Clarke (Christy) of Denver, North Carolina; Ray Clarke (Trina) of Maiden, North Carolina; Edgar Clarke of Concord, North Carolina; seven siblings,

Larmaretta Stinson, Harvest Ann Clark, Fannie Parsons (Jerry) all of Newton, North Carolina; Melvin Clark, Harriett Huitt both of Conover, North Carolina; Linda Clarke of Denver, North Carolina; Chasity Adujua (Samson0 of Charlotte, North Carolina; eleven grandchildren

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. in White’s Family Chapel at Ebony & White’s Funeral Service. The family will receive friends at 3:00 p.m.
