Ms. Willie Lou Timley

Willie Lou Timley, 76, of Birmingham, formerly of Gadsden, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. She is survived by her family. We ask that you keep this family in your thoughts and prayers during their time of bereavement.

Willie Lou Timely was born on January 9, 1947, to Mary and P.J. Franklin. She graduated from Carver High School, class of 1965 and attended Gadsden State Community College as well. She grew up in Friendship Baptist Church and then moved to California in 1970 where she remained until 2005. Willie Lou retired from Verizon after 41 years of service as an Executive of Special Projects. Some of the things she enjoyed doing include cooking, shopping, traveling, and most of all caring for her family and friends. If you met her, she loved on you. If you had a need, she took care of it. She was a mother, grandmother, sister, and/or friend to everyone she met in her life.

She is preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Mary and Willie Butler, father P.J. Franklin, life partner Willie C. Juddine, two brothers Willie Hammock and Willie (Butch) Butler, and one stepsister Betty Butler-Berry.

She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Amber Juddine, (Birmingham, AL) and one grandson, Devin Finley; three sisters Carrie Taylor (Gadsden, AL), Clara Aaron (Atlanta, GA) and Pamela Butler, (Birmingham, AL). Five nieces Donetta Hunt (Gadsden, AL), Clarissa Aaron (Atlanta, GA), Ivory Crayton (Birmingham, AL) Aja Buter (San Mateo, CA), Charda Butler (Birmingham, AL). Two great nieces, Monte Middleton (Atlanta, GA) and Zoey Taylor (Birmingham, AL). Seven nephews Jonathan (Kim) Hammock (Oklahoma City, OK), Erik (Kim) Hammock (Clarksville, TN), Stanley Bradford (Huntsville, AL), Domenique Butler (Long Beach, CA), Willie Jeffrey Miller (Las Vegas, NV), Christopher Hope (Birmingham, AL), Darrius Taylor (Gadsden, AL). One great nephew, William Webb (Atlanta, GA). One special cousin, Betty White. Two special friends, Linda Hughes-McAlpine and Charlie B. James, as well as a host of great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Public Visitation will be Friday, June 23, 2023 12pm-5pm.

Family Hour will be held Friday, June 23, 2023 from 5pm-7pm.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church at 1pm.
