CROWLEY – Funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 927 W. 7th St., Crowley, LA for Mr. James Robinson affectionately known by his family and friends as “Uncle Theo Moses X or Pops”, 83, who entered eternal rest on Friday, June 2, 2023 in Crowley, LA.

Pastor Sherard M. Joseph, Pastor of Jerusalem Baptist Church, will be officiating the funeral service.

Moses X enjoyed hunting, playing dominoes, and he was a master at checkers and chess, an entrepreneur of several businesses, real estate properties including Avenue of Champions Sportswear Store.

Moses X’s memories are being cherished by: five daughters, Paula Whittington (Jeffery) and Abbie Olivier (Leon), both of Crowley, Ramona Robinson and Patrice Robinson, both of Houston, TX and Darcel Wright of North Carolina; one son, Toren (Zina) Robinson of Houston, TX; two sisters, Helen Green and Betty Robinson, both of Houston; nine grandchildren; sixteen great great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Moses X is preceded in death by: his parents, Earl and Olivia Robinson, Sr.; three brothers, Earl Robinson, Jr., Rogers Robinson and Donald Robinson, Sr.; three sisters, Ollie Robinson, Sarah Robinson Handy and Susie Rose Robinson Stewart; and two granddaughters, Brianna and Jade Robinson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at Jerusalem Baptist Church.
