Beverly J. Hicks, daughter of the late Susan Hicks and the late McKinly Williams was born in Harrisburg, PA and transitioned into eternal life on Friday, June 16, 2023.

She attended Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) and received her degree in Practical Nursing, later becoming a Registered Nurse and received her bachelor's and master's in theology from the Pacific Coast Bible College in Sacramento, California and was a retired Chaplain of Hershey Medical Center. A former member of Goodwin Memorial Baptist Church and currently a member of Christian Insight Church serving as the Church Mother.

She leaves to celebrate her life, her daughters, Tonya Crawford and Dana Denise Crawford-Lumpkin; her sons, Rev. James L. Crawford, Jr., Dwayne M. Crawford and Darren E. Crawford; her sister, Anita Dean; her brother, Ronald T. Dean; her 13 grandchildren, James III, Shannon, Daria, Craig, Brandi, Dawanna, Latrice, Tiffany, Jonathan, Darren Jr., Justin, Joshua and Jared; her 23 great grandchildren, Janai, Giana, Ty’keer, Tatyana, Aniya, Dontae, Taris, Garee, Thalil, Torojay, Jason, Jocelyn, Brielle, Sky, Tori, Jaden, Isabella, Annalyse, Ayanna, Nymir, Da’liyah, Da’rius and Journee ; her great great grandchild, Ozias and a host of other relatives and friends.

Beverly’s life will be celebrated on Friday, June 23rd at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary of Goodwin Memorial Baptist Church, 2447 Green St., Harrisburg with viewing 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and burial in William Howard Day Cemetery.
