GRAND COTEAU - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Grand Coteau, LA for Mr. Gabriel Shaw, 80, who entered eternal rest on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Opelousas General Health System. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Fr. Mark Kramer will be officiating the funeral mass.

Mr. Shaw’s memories are being cherished by: his wife, Veronica Arceneaux Shaw of Opelousas, LA; three daughters, Monica Shaw andStephanie Woods (Stephen), both of Opelousas, LA and Eulanda Hardy (Darnell) of Tracys Landing, MD; one sister, Mary Ann Rose (Phillip) of Opelousas, LA; five grandchildren, Byron “B.K.” (Jamie) Broussard, Shawn Woods, Briana Gobert, Seth Woods and Dannia Cay Hardy; three great grandchildren, Macey Tyler, Graycen Gobert and Mary Eulanda Broussard; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Evelyn Singleton Shaw.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA.
