Mr. Leroy C. Williams, 78, Columbus, GA passed on Friday, June 23, 2023 in Columbus, GA.

Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. EST, Monday, July 3, 2023 at Green Acres Cemetery, Columbus, GA with Rev. Carlton Pickett, officiating. Visitation is Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 12-5 p.m. EST.

Leroy Williams Jr. entered this world on May 31, 1945, to Sarah Louise (Randall) Bellamy and Leroy Williams, Sr. He was raised and given the wisdom to impact our lives by Sarah Louise and Willie Jeff Bellamy along with his beloved sister Cynthia Pickett.

He was taught religion and educated at Mother Mary Mission School and Church where he met some of his longtime friends. As he matured in life luckily one night, he went to the Mayflower Lounge where he met the love of his life, his wife Barbara J. Bailey Williams. Through hard work and determination, they raised three boys Leroi, Dorion, and Randall Williams.

Leroy Williams diligently worked for over 30 years at Columbus Foundry, where he served as an operations mechanic and Secretary of the United Steel Workers Association.

He was proceeded in death by his wife, Barbara; son, Leroi, and his sister Cynthia.

Through his hard work he has ensured his family legacy will remain strong through his living family heirs, Randall, Angel, Jordynn, Jalon, Lazoria, Lorenzo, Jimmy, Anastasia, Lauren, Andrew, Dorion, Michele, Shidele, and Nyema.

Leroy Williams, also known as “ALABAMA” never met a stranger and developed everlasting friendships with people who became family. Thus, his legacy will live forever!
