Carol Theresa Wejnert passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at the age of 68. Born in Englewood, New Jersey, she was a graduate of Ridgefield Memorial High School. Carol served her country in the United States Navy, with a 20 year career as an Air Traffic Controller. She completed many tours of duty including Antarctica, Souda Bay Greece, Cubi Point RP, and as an AC Instructor at NATTC Millington, TN. Carol is registered in the Military Women’s Memorial in Arlington, VA. Upon retiring from the USN, she pursued her Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Carol is survived by her life partner of 33 years, Mary “Mickey” McNally, and their pup, Piper. Together in retirement, they turned their passion for antiques and all things vintage into a small business in which they had many wonderful adventures, and made lifelong friends. In her lifetime, Carol was a kind, compassionate and giving soul, with an amazing ability to make people laugh. Carol wore her tough “Jersey Girl” persona on the outside, but everyone who truly knew her, knew that her heart would run to them for any need, day or night. She loved in a big way, and her imprint on the world will ripple on forever. Carol is also survived by her sister, Claudia Ratzlaff and sisters in law, Maryann Wejnert, Karyn Wejnert, Kathy DeBock, Patty (Paul) Guerrero, Renee (Joe) Beemsterboer, and brothers in law, James and Brian McNally, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Louis R. Wejnert, Jr., and Marguerite (nee Bade), sister Claire, and brothers Louis and Richard. Services for Carol as well as a Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to AVANZAR in Carol’s memory.
