On Monday, June 26, 2023, Aurora Mackenzie Malone 16, of Bassett, VA transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life. She was born August 11, 2006, in Palmer, Alaska to Ashley Comer Malone.

Aurora was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Sheree Comer.

Aurora was in the ninth grade at Bassett High School.

Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Ashley Comer-Malone of Bassett, VA; one sister, Aribella Comer Malone of Bassett, VA; one brother, Caleb Stone of Bassett, VA; maternal grandfather, Allen Comer of Bassett, VA; and a host of other relatives, and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the C.R.V. Memorial Chapel at Hairston Funeral Home. The burial will be private. A public viewing will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Hairston Funeral Home between the hours of 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.
