Lewis D. Gravely, 65, of Clearview Dr., Martinsville, VA, departed from this life June 28, 2023 at Sovah Health – Martinsville, VA. He was born in Virginia on March 29, 1958, to the late Dana Gravely and Maggie Stockton King.

Lewis was a graduate of Laurel Park High School, class of 1976. He went on to work for Eastman as a machine operator until his retirement. He was a faithful member of Rock Hill Missionary Baptist church where he served as an Usher.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include: his wife, Debra Hodge Gravely of the home; one daughter, Jennifer N. Roberts (John) of Atlanta, GA; three sons, Anthony Shamain Gravely (Chandra) of Clayton, NC, Torrey L. Gravely (Laquita) of Martinsville, VA, and Tyran D. Perkins of Martinsville, VA; three sisters, Diana Penn of Richmond, VA, Sharon Hairston (Garry) of Bassett, VA, and Joan Dillard (Tarlyn) of Martinsville, VA; three brothers, Pastor Carlton Redd (Simone) of Martinsville, VA; Dana Gravely (Mandy) of Maryland, and Michael King of Martinsville, VA.

A visitation service will be held on Monday, July 3, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 noon at the C.R.V. Memorial Chapel at Hairston Funeral Home with Reverend Carlton Redd, Eulogist. A public viewing will be held on Sunday, July 2, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at C.R.V. Hairston Funeral Home, 301 Fayette St., Martinsville.
