Mr. William H. Flanagan, the oldest of Eight children, was born on September 8th, 1953, in West Mississippi to Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Earlee Flanagan Williams. His parents, one sister, Verlynuette “Lynn,” an one Brother, Wilbur Preceded him in death.
William's early education started in the Holmes County School District. His middle school years were spent attending school at Northside Elementary School and Tipton High School. He Graduated in 1971, from Kosciusko Senior High School in 1987, He continued his education at Central Texas College in Killeen, Tx.
On August 4th, 1973, he united in Holy Matrimony with Mildred Houston. To this union, three children were born: Ayesheia, Wytishia, and Shaundra.
In 1979, William enlisted in the United States Army. During his service he achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-6) Multichannel Transmission Systems Operator/Maintainer. His job responsibilities were to manage and maintain communications and information systems. On October 30th, 1999, he retired after 20 years of dedicated service to the military.
Upon his retirement, William worked at Heartland Cable as a Service Technician.
During his free time, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. William was also an avid collector of anything piqued his interest.
He departed this life on Thursday, June 15th, 2023, at his home in Temple Tx.
William's memories will be cherished by his wife, Mildred of Copperas Cove, Tx. Three daughters: Ayesheia Martin of El Paso Tx. Wytishia Dudley of Rutland, VT. and Shaundra Flanagan of Houston, TX. Six grandchildren, Aziyah, Amirah, and Ry'Lee Martin, Martaeja Flanagan, Vatreshaun “JJ” Horace, and Tyteana Johnson.
Two sisters, Isalonia “Icy” (Roosevelt) Fletcher, Margaret (Will) Winters; Three brothers, Roy (Linda) Williams, Joe (Kim) Williams, and Alex Williams. A niece, Tanisha “Nikki” Williams, who was raised as a sister, all of Kosciusko, Ms. and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
