Mr. John Sheridan Morehead better known as Arvelle by family was born February 12, 1969 to John Thomas Morehead and Emma Louise Wilder. He departed this life June 27, 2023 at his home in Durham, North Carolina.

John was educated in the Durham Public Schools and later joined the Job Corps where obtained his GED. After leaving the Job Corps, John worked in Demolition Restoration and Construction. At a very young age, he enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together. As he grew into manhood, he continued working in construction.

Later, he married and was divorced after 10 years and remained single. Arvelle was a very likeable person and got along well with others. He loved a good conversation and was long winded once he got started (which seemed to be a family trait).
