Mr. Robert Leon Parks, 28, entered into rest at his residence in Aiken, SC., on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. Robert was born to the late Tawana Thomas and Robert Tennyson.
Robert accepted the Lord and Savior in his life at an early age and was baptized at Whole Life Ministries in Augusta, GA. He used his gifts to serve as an assist with Sunday School and the music ministry with music equipment.
Robert attended Glenn Hills Comprehensive High School and graduated from Westside Comprehensive High School in 2013. He was very passionate about children, music, and animals. He took an interest in playing instruments, rapping, entertaining his favorite people, and restoring stray animals. He was a loving gentleman who was versatile in athletics. He played football, baseball, soccer, and was a member on the wrestling team.
Robert was employed at Shaw Industry as a Forklift Driver.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Tawana Thomas and Robert Tennyson. At six years old, Robert was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy and Marsha Parks.
Robert’s legacy will be cherished by his loving adopted parents, Jimmy (Marsha) Parks; two children, L’Niya Renee Parks and S’yon Kingston Parks; sister, Cresandius (Johnny) Freeman; brothers, Devontre Parks, Rodriquez Parks, Veondi Parks, Rodregus (Tamicka) Parks, Moses Parks, and Simien Parks; four nieces and three nephews; a longtime friend, Meech (Von); a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and sorrowing friends.
A celebration of life will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Kinsey & Walton Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Joseph Givens officiating. Interment will follow in Sand Hill Church Cemetery (1936 Sand Hill Church Road, Millen, GA.)
