Clearetha “Weasel” Cason was born on October 26, 1943 to the late Mr. Willie James Trudale and Ms. Minnie Mitchell. She was preceded in death by both parents; one sister, Minnie Mae Stewart; one brother, Freddie Lee Mitchell; one son, Curtis Cason; and a very special niece, Barbara Ann Mitchell-Arnold.

Clearetha was a hard worker, she loved her kids, and she will forever live in our hearts.

Clearetha leaves to cherish her memories: three sons, James Cason, Richard Cason, and Ora Smith, Jr.; six daughters, Nicole Godfrey, Cythnia Bass, Glenda Smith, Sabrina Smith, Jackie Cason, and Barbara Ann Williams; three grandsons: DaeshunSilas, Tamarion Silas, and Nicholas Silas; one granddaughter Rena Denson; great grandson Kaleb Bines; two sisters, Lizzie Peterson and Shelley Howard; four brothers, Willie Mitchell, Jr.(Christine), Frank Mitchell (Sheryl), Eddie Mitchell, and Paul Mitchell, Sr.; a devoted niece Mary Stewart; two devoted nephews Johnny Bean and Tony Bean; two special cousinsRobby and Bobby Christian; four sisters-in-law: Shirley Cannady, Lillie Mae Bryant, Marie Gross, Ebenezar Stewart and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.

A celebration of life will be Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 3PM at Church of Perfecting Saints with Pastor Calvin Williams, officiating. Burial will follow in North End Cemetery.
