Ulyesse Grace, Sr., “Slim”, was born in Sneads, Florida on December 22, 1943, to the late Nancy Lee Grace and Richard Bronson. He attended Mays High School in Miami, Florida. He was employed with the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind where he retired after 25 years. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Christian Ministry.
He was preceded in eternal rest by his son, Fredderick Grace
He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Imogene Grace, children, Cynthia (Willie James) Brown, Ulyesse Grace Jr., Sophia (C.L.) McNair, Trinette (George) Greene, Sheree Grace, Deonne Campbell, Carol Grace, Cathy (Corey) Walker, Ulyesse Grace III, Marlon Grace, Sandora (Robert) Grimes, Corey Grace, Cortney Grace, 34 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, siblings Willie Ruth Howard, Emma Hill, Lorenzo Bronson, Sharon Baker, Eartha Johnson, Elouise Bronson, 5 godchildren, mother-in-law, Frankie Mae Borom, and a host of extended family and friends.
The Grace family will receive friends and the community 5-6 p.m., Friday, July 21, 2023, at New Mt. Moriah Christian Ministry, 676 Christopher St, St. Augustine. A Celebration of life will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, July 22, 2023, at New St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 135 N. Rodriquez St, St. Augustine. Pastor A Dewey Britton, Sr., is the eulogist. Interment will be held in Evergreen Cemetery.
