In Loving Memory of Carol Ann Bryant:
On July 13, 2023, we bid a fond farewell to Carol Ann Bryant, who peacefully passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
A memorial service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 22nd, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie, with Rex Hamilton officiating.
Carol, a native of Bowie, lived a life marked by strength and independence. With fourteen siblings, she learned the values of perseverance and determination early on, making her a beloved and respected figure among everyone who crossed her path. Her no-nonsense attitude was balanced by her kindness and generosity, making her a source of inspiration for those around her. Carol's unyielding inner strength and conviction guided her through the challenges she faced. She found solace in the belief that she would one day be reunited with her parents, Loue Elsie Jones and Floyd Ben Holder, and several cherished siblings: Judy Holder, Star Gilstrap, Margie Henson, Darlene Hodges, Jerry Holder, Johnny Holder, and Joe Holder.
Throughout her life, Carol faced challenges with unwavering resolve. Her love story with Arlie Bryant is one of heartwarming destiny, as they first met in High School and, later in life, found love in each other. Their bond blossomed into a deep and lasting affection, which they celebrated with a joyous wedding in Hawaii in May of 2017. Together, they embraced life's joys and challenges, cherishing precious memories in their home, aptly named "Paradise". Carol's presence in their lives served as a steady anchor, and her absence leaves a profound void. She leaves behind a legacy of love and wisdom, passed down to her beloved children Brian King, Randi Bryant, Shavon Flippin, and Chasity Arvin. Her influence also lives on in her dear siblings: Jesse Holder, Jim Holder, Mary Pugh, Barbara Hacker, Ruthie Huddleston, Jean Holder, and Toni Fosdyck. Carol's impact is further felt through her sixteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, who were blessed to know her.
Though we mourn the loss of Carol Ann Bryant, we find comfort in the knowledge that her spirit will always be cherished in our hearts. Her memory will forever inspire us and will continue to guide us through life's journey.
As we bid farewell to Carol, we take solace in the thought that she now rests in peace, free from suffering. Her life was a beacon of strength and love, and she will be dearly missed but never forgotten. May she rest in eternal peace, embraced by the memories of her beautiful life.
