Jeffery Wood, 37, of Gadsden passed away on July 21, 2023. He is survived by his family.

Jeffery Gerald Wood was born on September 23, 1985, to the union of Gerald Mac Wood and Donna
Wood in Cherokee County Alabama.

Jeffery received his education from Cherokee County High School where he played the game of Football that he loved dearly.

Jeffery accepted Christ at an early age and
was a member of New Life Christian Church where Michael Terrell is the pastor.
Jeffery departed this life on July 21, 2023.

He is preceded in death by his two Grandmothers, Betty Shooks and Christine Walker-Wood, and his Brother, Antion Leek.
Jeffery was a devoted Auburn fan. During his lifetime, some would think he loved football more than his
family and friends. He would argue with anyone about football. He also enjoyed making music. When
asked what his favorite saying was, you would hear him say, “you have to give respect to get respect.”
He was loved by many, and when you saw him, no matter what, before he left you, he would say, “I love
you.”
Jeffery leaves to cherish in his memories: April Wood (Baby Mama); His three children, Robert “Isaiah”
Wood, Emma Wood, and Kelicia Wood; His sisters, Pamela (Tony) Wood, Deonna (Demarcus) Sharpe,
Donnica (Bryan) Huey, Ariana Wood, Anijah Wood, and Jasmine Wood; His brothers, Danny (Jammie)
Jones and Xavier Wood; Godfather, Joe Price; sister-in-law, Stella Leek; a bonus brother, Joe Pruitt, and a
bonus sister, Julie Pruitt; a host of aunts and uncles, and nieces and nephews; special cousins, Cory
Walker and Shequita Wood.

Public viewing will be Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 6pm-8pm.

Funeral services will be Sunday, August 6, 2023 at the Mt. Pleasant CME Church, Piedmont, AL, at 3:00 pm. Eulogist: Dr. K. Soloman Williams. Interment will be at the Providence Cemetery in Centre, AL.
