Rodney Jones was born on January 20, 2004, to Robbin Jones and Rodney Milam in Memphis, Tennessee. Rodney gave his life to Christ at an early age. Rodney was a graduate of Wooddale High School. Rodney enjoyed sports, his favorites being basketball and football. He had a passion for music and was known in the music community as “Rod Bando.” Rodney departed this life on July 12, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father, Rodney Milam, and great-uncle, David Eugene Jones.

Rodney leaves to cherish his memory: a loving mother, Robbin Jones (Jezree) Wilkins; two brothers Darius Jackson and Marcus Jones; one sister Tiara Norment; maternal grandmother, Carolyn Gaters; paternal grandparents, Robert and Josephine Milam; one uncle, Michael Hammer; six aunts, Ann Bonds, Tammie Jones, Kila Jones, Celia Jones, Nicole Jones and Donna Hoyle; a special friend, Jayla Martinez; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 28, 2023 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. Funeral service will be Saturday, July 29, 2023 10:00am both will be held at Progressive Baptist Church 394 Vance Ave, Memphis, TN 38126

Internment will be in New Park Cemetery 4536 Horn Lake Rd, Memphis, TN 38109
